The constitution of Nepal 2015 has established Nepal as the federal democratic socialism oriented country. Provisions for a federal structure has been mentioned in the country to decentralize power and resources, to ensure development and representation of the regions and communities.
Mentioned articles clearly delineates Nepal towards the Federalism.
1. Article 56 divides Nepal into three tiers of government. Federal, Province and Local Governments.
2. Schedules 5 to 9 allocates legislative, executive, and judicial powers among the three tiers.

Concurrent Powers, Federal Provincial - Schedule 7, Federal-Provincial-Local - Schedule 9
3. Article 60 has the provisions of the revenue sharing among the three tiers of the government.
4. Article 57 provides the autonomy to exercise the powers to all levels of the government. Provincial and local governments have the authority to draft laws within their jurisdiction.
5. Article 234 has the mechanisms for the coordination, cooperation and resolution through inter-provincial council led by the PM
6. Article 127 to 153 has the provisions for the judicial system with the Supreme Court as the apex court.
7. Part 3 has the fundamental rights for every citizen of the country, providing rights and representations for every citizen.
Federalism in Nepal has attempts the country in maintaing the national unity. The constitution has provided ample opportunities of making Nepal a federal republic.
